Christmas Video: Bird Feeders in the Snow
I wanted to have a special holiday greeting for you all. What’s better than a video of hungry birds visiting our bird feeders on a snowy day? Well, how about if the scene was accompanied by some beautiful harp music?
Yup, that sounded like the perfect combination for me to wish you “Happy Holidays!” I hope you will enjoy this.
I shot this video through our (open) kitchen window. That crackling sound you’re hearing in the background is the fire in our woodstove. It helped make up for the cold air I was letting into the house, LOL. I was having fun watching the bird feeders.
The birds you are seeing include goldfinches, house finches, pine siskens and juncoes. The 3-tube feeder holds Nyjer thistle seed and the Edwardian-style bird feeder is filled with black-oil sunflower seed. And yes, we do go through a LOT of bird seed around here! But in the long run, it’s cheap entertainment.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and thanks so much for being my dear gardening friends!
