Video: Seed Starting Demystified Pt. 6
Ready for the next installment in my seed starting series? We’re just about finished!
This time, I provide updates on how all of the seeds I’ve started are doing. Then I share which seeds I’ll be planting next.
There are some useful tips along the way: when to up-pot seedlings and how to automatically water your seedlings. If you take a close look at the photo to the left, you’ll notice a green layer of capillary mat. That fabric wicks water up from a reservoir, which in turn waters the plants. I use it in our greenhouse, once the seedlings I planted indoors are up and growing. Boy, is that a game changer! There are a lot of online sources for capillary mat. Here’s an example of one.
My goal for this series was to help all of you be successful in your seed starting projects. It is a great skill to have and will save you a lot of money! I hope you are feeling more confident about growing your own plants from seed now.
