Video: Summertime Vegetable Garden Tips
Now that the temperatures are creeping up, it’s time for a video on summertime vegetable garden tips. I’m primarily talking about the types of things we can do to protect our plants from the heat.
I cover all sorts of helpful topics for this one:
- Watering tips
- Mulching the soil for some very good reasons
- Using shade cloth to protect certain types of vegetable crops
- Why some crops bolt to seed and what that means
- Choosing heat-tolerant varieties if your summers are getting hotter
- Protecting vegetables that you’re growing in containers
- The importance of monitoring your garden on a regular (preferably daily) basis
- Why you need sun protection!
We gardeners need to keep in mind that plants’ needs change with the seasons. That’s why I thought a video for summertime vegetable garden tips would be helpful. And especially so if you’re new to growing vegetables.
