Video: Preserving Beans, Zucchini and Berries
It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by our harvests this time of year, isn’t it? Everything is coming quickly and it’s hard to keep up with it all. I decided to focus this week’s video on tips for preserving beans, zucchini and berries. The best part of all is that you won’t need any special equipment to do this!
For example, when it comes to preserving beans, we blanch and freeze them. That involves adding them to a kettle of boiling water, then plunging them into cold water. You can’t get any easier than that, right?
In it, I share how I preserve these harvests for later enjoyment. I hope you’ll find the information helpful! I also wanted to mention that I have a Preserving the Harvest section on this website. You’ll find recipes and methods to help you enjoy your harvest in the coming months.
The National Center for Home Food Preservation is a great resource.
