Spokane County Master Gardener Plant Sale
I’m delighted to announce that the highly-anticipated Spokane County Master Gardener plant sale is on for this year! This annual event had to be cancelled last year due to the pandemic. Fortunately, the organizers figured out a way to set up an online plant ordering system. Then you will pick up your plants at a pre-determined day and time at Vickie’s Garden Center Greenhouse, 2100 S. Inland Empire Way.
The plants available at the sale include dahlia tubers, pollinator plants, native plants, berry plants, tomato and pepper starts, herbs, ornamental grasses, perennials and houseplants.
Online ordering runs between Apr. 24 and May 8. You can find a link to the system by going to the Master Gardener Foundation of Spokane County website. The plant pick-up dates go from Apr. 24 to May 9.
But! If you become a member of the Master Gardener Foundation prior to Apr. 19, you will gain early access to the ordering system AND get a 10% discount on your plant purchases. Your membership (and plant purchases) helps support the Spokane County Master Gardener program and all of the great work they do within the community.
I will provide more details about the Master Gardener plant sale in my Apr. 18 garden column. Stay tuned.
