Travel Stories: English Gardens Tour (2)

(This is a continuation of my tales about the English Gardens Tour I led from May 16-27, 2018.) 

I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you more about the wonderful tour escort we had. While Cosetta Zanobetti was born and raised in Florence, Italy, she has lived in England for many years and really knows her gardens! As an avid gardener, she was tickled to be our escort for this trip.

Cosetta (or “Cosi”) is a delightful lady who has a wealth of knowledge about the history of the various regions of England (and Italy, of course) as well as the gardens we visited.

As our tour escort, she handled the day-to-day logistics of our trip: making sure we were all on the bus at the appointed time, keeping us on track, checking with the gardens ahead of time to make sure they were ready for us, and assisting me in making sure we had the appropriate amount of time to visit each garden.

Cosetta has a wonderful sense of humor and was so easy to be with. I’m certain everyone in our group adored her and would love to have her as an escort or guide again.
