June 1 column: The Friends of Manito plant sale
Daylilies will be available at the The Friends of Manito sale. |
Here’s a link to my column in today’s edition of The Spokesman-Review: Manito Sale worth making space for. It’s about an upcoming event you won’t want to miss: next Saturday’s Friends of Manito spring plant sale. If you’ve never been to one, you’re in for a real treat.
For months, the TFM volunteers have been lovingly tending fabulous perennials, shrubs, vines and ornamental grasses that will grow beautifully in Inland Northwest gardens. The best part of all is that all proceeds from the sale go right back into Manito Park so it’s a great way to support a special park that is so important to our community. Think about all of the times you’ve taken your family or visitors there over the years. What a great way to give back!
The sale is on Sat., June 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you’re already a Friend of Manito, you can get in at 8 a.m. for early shopping. But do not despair: you can still come early and sign up to be a member to get in early, too. Just don’t buy the plants I’ve got my eyes on! ;o)
Hope to see you there.
