A Note from Susan

Hello, gardening friends!

March 27, 2024 _ Boy, I’m a little slow this time around! We have been experiencing quite a mix of weather lately, but then, that’s early spring for ya! We were treated to this pretty sunrise this morning.

I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed with garden cleanup but I keep reassuring myself that it always gets done eventually. We’ve pruned all of our fruit trees, Bill has repaired our pond filter (thanks, honey!), and I’ve tidied up both the front pollinator garden and our big flower bed. Slow but sure, right?

My most recent video is filled with tips on pruning trees (including fruit trees), flowering shrubs, blueberries and roses. Here’s a link to the video on my blog. That post includes links to my past videos that focus specifically on pruning those types of plants so you’ll definitely want to check them out, too.

Are you ready for this garden season? In my book, The Vegetable Garden Problem Solver Handbook, I address weather-related issues, vegetable disorders and diseases, germination and pollination problems, dealing with all sorts of critters in the garden and so much more. You can get a personalized copy of The Vegetable Garden Problem Solver Handbook from me! Just send me an email at Susan@SusansintheGarden.com and I’ll take care of you quickly. If you would prefer to order it directly from Amazon, here is my affiliate link to it. Thank you for supporting your friendly author!
