A Note from Susan

Hello, gardening friends!

Oct. 12, 2024 _ Great news! I have created an Amazon store filled with the gardening tools and products I use. I get so many questions from gardeners asking about this so I’ve finally put it together. Here’s a direct link to it, or you can learn more about it on my new Shop page on this website.

As you can see from the photo, we recently visited Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. I will share some information and photos from the trip in the coming days, so stay tuned for that.

Our garden has been frosted a few times now, yet so many ornamental and edible crops are still growing! I always find that amazing. Be sure to watch my latest video, My Garden Got Frosted: Now What? to see what’s happening.

I’ve been working on this year’s “Vegetable Garden Report Card,” which is located under the Guides menu (Vegetable Report Card – 2024). I’ve rated a bunch of the crops but there’s still more to do.

What kind of gardening challenges did you encounter this season? Consider purchasing a copy of my book, The Vegetable Garden Problem Solver Handbook because it covers exactly what you need to know to be a successful gardener. In it, I address weather-related issues (including heat and drought), vegetable disorders and diseases, germination and pollination problems, dealing with all sorts of critters in the garden and so much more. To order a signed copy from me, just send an email to Susan@SusansintheGarden.com and I’ll take care of you quickly. If you would prefer to order it directly from Amazon, here is my affiliate link to it. (I will earn a commission but it won’t affect the price you pay.) Thank you for supporting your friendly author!
