Susan's in the Garden

ATTENTION! If you’re on my Blog page and see this “Note from Susan,” scroll below it for access to all my posts… and there are LOTS!

Nov. 4, 2026 _ Hi, everybody! I felt it was high time I gave you an update on what’s going on around here. As you saw by my post last month, I am (sort of) retired. I plan to do the occasional video and have been posting on my Facebook and Instagram feeds every now and then. After all, gardening is in my blood and sharing information with you is what I enjoy doing!

Here in Spokane, Wash., it’s been very chilly and we’ve gotten a bit of rain off and on. I’m so grateful for every little bit we get because the weather outlook for this winter has been rather dismal. But things might be changing so stay tuned on that.

If you haven’t seen my most recent video, here’s a link to it: Susan’s (Semi) Retirement. The main message in it is that I just needed to simplify my life a bit so it’s less hectic. Fewer deadlines are always a good thing, right?

Remember that I have all sorts of wonderful resources on this website. Please use them! If you’re already thinking about next year’s veggie garden, be sure to visit my Grow Vegetables section. There’s so much useful information as well as tips on all of the most commonly grown crops. Click on the link above or look for it in the menu bar on any page.

I still have my Amazon store for the gardening products I use and recommend. The 3 books I’ve written are in there, under the “Susan’s Books” category, as well as tools, gardening clothing, and so on. I receive a small commission but that won’t impact the price you pay.

I do check my website every day and also respond to any new comments on the videos on my YouTube channel. So do know that I’m still connecting with you: it’s just not as noticeable! If you need to get a hold of me, just drop me an email at Susan@SusansintheGarden.com. You’re all the BEST!
